Childhood
My Childhood revolved around academic rigors for a better life.
My journey on earth began on May 28th, 1971. The good Lord has sustained me from my childhood through my career life. The challenges and roadblocks are stepping stones to learning and to making me stronger. My faith, coupled with resiliency, and my appreciation for the uniqueness of value as a Haitian-American scholar have been designed as part of a mystery only God can provide and understand.
I envision a better world for myself, my friends and family in which God would always provide. I never stopped dreaming, creating and designing thinking and my skills, while God's interventions would be equitable opportunities to circumvent disparities. Ultimately, self-sufficient is an organized mindset produced through faith and practices of fulfillment.
I held a strong belief that if I had access to mentoring, and a learning environment where I hone my mind, keep my eyes on the prize, and hands-on experience; I would develop into a refined individual. Furthermore, a voice, acquired skills, knowledge, and literacies to navigate information and cultural empowerment would strengthen a sense of integrity and conviction. Unequivocally, I experimented with ideas and take smart, measured risks; and gained experiences to build the confidence and courage needed to actualize my full potential.
I also believed that a better world for all is ultimately a more joyful world lifted by imagination, aesthetic power, and expression. In turn, I celebrate the beauty of optimism as much as I characterized by reflective and mindful goals setting, hard work, and the rigorous pursuit of excellence.
